MAEYEN BASSEY - TESTIMONIALS
-
Maeyen is truly a dream to work with. Smart, calm, enthusiastic, a great listener & collaborator. Â She is excellent at directing agency based commercials like the Nissan documentary she directed with us for TBWA Chiat Day. Â Her confidence & leadership on set as a director is equally matched by her ability to command a room with agency & production company execs. Â She has unflappable composure even in the face of the toughest project challenges. I would recommend her for any job requiring a passionate, thoughtful and dedicated Director.Â

It is a rare person you find in our industry that works with such finesse under immense pressure and remains grounded and cheerful in the trenches. It is easy to create with a huge budget but much more creativity is required when one is tight and Maeyen responds every time. Always a pleasure and I look forward to the next phone call.

Maeyen is an exceptional producer and gifted creative. I worked with Maeyen at MasterClass, where she was the producer and co-director on the Amanda Gorman class I oversaw. Throughout, I was struck by her attention to detail as she produced the whole class structure and the details of each individual section and scene.
Maeyen is calm under the pressure, able to carefully follow through on a detailed plan, or pivot in the moment if the need arises. In the edit she is organised, thoughtful and committed to perfecting the cut. It was great working with Maeyen and I happily would again.
